Ciara has extensive experience in sales and purchases of companies and businesses at local, national and international level, including transactions in Australia, USA, the Netherlands and Tanzania. She has also worked with companies and banks on financing arrangements, such as new facility agreements, refinancing, grants and private equity investments.
She has advised private and public companies on shareholder matters, such as corporate structures, shareholder agreements, incentivisation packages and corporate governance issues.
As well as corporate matters, Ciara specialises in commercial issues, providing businesses with advice on supplier and customer contracts, licence agreements, agency and distribution arrangements as well as franchise agreements.
As part of the Insolvency Team, Ciara advises businesses and insolvency practitioners on corporate matters in respect of insolvent companies. Her work has included advising on insolvent business disposals and acquisitions and corporate governance matters.
Ciara also provides corporate support to the Litigation Team, such as advising on shareholder disputes and director disqualifications.
Before joining Mills Selig, Ciara worked for 4 years with a large international firm in London and Cardiff and for a further 3 years with a corporate boutique firm in Cardiff. She is qualified to practice law in both Northern Ireland and England & Wales.
