After graduating, Emma studied for a Master’s Degree in Commercial Law at University College Dublin.

Since joining Mills Selig, she has been involved extensively in Commercial and other areas of litigation advising individuals, companies, financial institutions and one of Northern Ireland’s Harbour Authorities.

She also has considerable experience in all areas of defamation and privacy law and has acted as part of a team in representing many media organisations including broadcasters and national newspapers.

Emma frequently advises on complex land and property disputes and has gained significant experience acting in partnership disputes, shareholder disputes, injunctions and corporate fraud cases. In recent years, she has also acted in a number of judicial review actions, particularly challenges to grants of planning permission.

She also advises on all areas of employment law.  She has represented a large number of clients at tribunal cases and regularly advises on corporate transactions.

Emma approach is to find the most practical and cost effective solution for her clients. She has conducted a number of cases by means of alternative dispute resolution such as arbitration and mediation
