Rachel is dual qualified (Northern Ireland and England and Wales) and has considerable experience in several areas of general commercial litigation to include commercial contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, construction disputes, IP disputes, property litigation, debt recovery, public law and judicial review and contentious procurement matters. Rachel also has experience in a wide range of insolvency matters to include advising Insolvency Practitioners on issues arising in respect of both personal and corporate insolvency and advising lenders and leading financial institutions in relation to enforcement options under their security.
• Part of a team advising a large public body client in respect of a High Court contractual dispute with a value of £4.5m
• Acting for a local bank in defending a High Court action brought by a borrower claiming misrepresentation and breach of fiduciary duty with a value in excess of £1.5m
• Part of a team advising an individual in relation to a complex shareholder dispute which engaged insolvency and IP issues
